Trevor Howard Determined to Save the World

At a young age, Trevor Kent Howard was determined to help save the world by researching solutions to address climate change. Trevor, an ARCS Oregon Scholar Alum, holds the distinction of being a triple alumnus at Oregon State University by earning his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in nuclear engineering. While working on his PhD, he received an ARCS Scholar Award made possible by Lynn and Steve Pratt.  After receiving his doctorate in 2018, Trevor worked for two years at Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a thermal hydraulics research and development associate.

For the past few years, Howard has been working with Wade Marcum and the Marcum Research Group to better address challenges associated with new and current nuclear reactor designs. Marcum was also the recipient of an ARCS Oregon Scholar Award while working toward his PhD at Oregon State University. READ MORE.
