These are wonderful opportunities for members to learn about the programs we support, hear from the leadership of the university and learn about research being conducted by our scholars. Site Visit - A site visit is an opportunity for ARCS leadership to connect with university approved programs and discuss our collaboration. These visits allow the universities an opportunity to discuss their programs and new advances and ARCS to reiterate requirements for scholars and universities. Lab Tour - Lab tours are an opportunity for scholars to present their research in their labs. Generally, two or three ARCS scholars will provide tours of two or three labs where they conduct their research. The site visit generally begins at 10am at a conference room at the university. The meeting runs for about 90 minutes and is followed by a simple lunch with the program leadership and scholars from that program. After lunch, the scholars will walk the group to their lab where they will describe their research, the equipment and the research techniques they use. The lab tour will conclude at 2pm. Parking and lunch is provided, however, carpooling is highly recommended as parking can be tight at our partner universities.
