OSU Celebrates ARCS Donors

A reception was hosted by Oregon State University to celebrate the partnership between the university, the OSU Foundation, and ARCS Foundation Oregon by recognizing ARCS donors whose philanthropy advances scientific research and supports the next generation of scientists at OSU.

ARCS Foundation Oregon has supported 229 OSU doctoral students since 2008. This year alone, OSU has 49 ARCS Scholars. ARCS and its members have created 19 endowed funds to support students in perpetuity. Thanks to the matching dollars provided by the colleges and market growth, these 19 funds at the OSU Foundation now have a market value of over $3.9 million – more than double the original gifts of ARCS member donors.

Thank you to President Jayathi Murthy, who is an ARCS Foundation Oregon member, for participating in this special gathering. And, thank you to Kristin Watkins, vice president of donor engagement, for representing the OSU Foundation at the event, for serving as the liaison to ARCS Foundation Oregon, and for believing in its mission so much that she herself is a member. Other university leaders attended the event to celebrate the impact that ARCS Oregon has made on OSU, the students, and the world.

ARCS Oregon is incredibly proud of its partnership with OSU and what we do together to launch a new generation of leaders in STEM fields.
