Newest ARCS Oregon Member from Corvallis

Posted on Wednesday, September 14, 2022

Susan Merrill Bentz is our newest member in Corvallis. Susan is the founder of Project H.E.R. (Help. Enlightenment. Resources) in Linn, Benton and Lincoln counties. The program provides support for cancer patients from diagnosis through survivorship. Susan trained as a Registered Nurse at OHSU and was the original nurse navigator in the Oncology department at The Corvallis Clinic. She is also a two-time cancer survivor. The Corvallis Clinic Foundation awards the Susan Merrill Spirit of Survivorship Award in her honor to an individual who has made significant contributions to cancer care in the community. Susan is interested in participating in ARCS because of its support of scholars who are involved in medical research. She looks forward to participating in programs particularly in the OHSU School of Nursing. She enjoys meeting other women with similar interests, travel, music, art and reading.
