Elizabeth Bell Receives 2024 President's Award

Posted on Monday, July 22, 2024

This President’s Award goes to one of the most relentlessly energetic persons President Diana Gordon has ever known. She became a member of ARCS Foundation Oregon in 2013, and immediately rolled up her sleeves and went to work. She has held numerous positions in our chapter, and served on many committees, including Finance, Scholar Relations, Philanthropy, and the Annual Scholar Event, to name just a few.

She served on the Board in many capacities, including Secretary, Treasurer, and President of our Chapter in 2022-23. Her enthusiasm and dedication to ARCS Foundation Oregon knows no bounds - she is known to attend meetings at all hours of the day (and night) from all time zones on the globe. She picks up tasks that no one else will do and genuinely believes she is having fun doing them!

She is also an amazing cook and entertainer, with the ability to move from one intense activity to another without batting an eyelash. She thinks nothing of back-to-back scheduling of these activities and makes everything look so easy. Using her Irish heritage, she enthusiastically encourages and welcomes those in Corvallis to an event in her home to talk about ARCS. Due to these events, she has brought in new members.
