Join the Fun: A Family-Friendly ARCS Adventure in Eugene

Get ready for an exciting ARCS Oregon field trip on Friday, October 11th—perfectly timed with the statewide teacher in-service day. It’s a fantastic opportunity to bring along your kids or grandkids for an adventure in Eugene. Whether it’s your first or your 15th visit with us, there’s always something new and exciting to discover on an ARCS field trip. Don’t miss our only lab tour for the academic year!

10:00–10:45 a.m. Tour the Nike Museum in Hayward Hall, where you’ll see championship trophies and memorabilia from UO’s long history of track and field achievement. You’ll also have a competitor’s view of the track from the museum level.

11:00–12:00 p.m. Visit the Mike Hahn Lab to learn all about sports science and biomechanics from Dr. Mike Hahn, human physiology professor and the director of the Bowerman Sports Science Center. Want to know what makes a champion? Dr. Hahn can tell us!

12:00–1:00 p.m. When was the last time you were able to eat like a college student? Enjoylunch at UO’s newest dorm facility, the Unthank Hall. This is not your typical dorm cafeteria.

1:00–2:00 p.m. Explore the Natural and Cultural History Museum at your leisure. Dig into Oregon’s past and its future––from the world’s oldest shoes to giant sloths to Oregon’s vibrant Native American culture––you’ll see marvels at this museum.

We can't wait to see you in Eugene!

RSVP early: The field trip is limited to the first 40 participants.
