New ARCS President's Society Aims to Support Chapter Growth & Vitality

Posted on Monday, April 29, 2024

Next month marks a significant milestone for ARCS Foundation Oregon as we celebrate our 20th anniversary. Over the past two decades, our Chapter has experienced tremendous success and growth. The extraordinary women who founded and led ARCS Oregon inspired many of their friends and colleagues to join them in volunteering their time and donating resources to support the critical mission of funding the next generation of STEM scholars in our state. These women created a strong foundation that will serve us well into the future.

Diana Gordon, our current President recently wrote “ARCS Foundation Oregon is poised for another significant growth spurt. But that growth spurt will only be possible if we invest the financial resources needed to support it. Following in the footsteps of all mature non-profits, we must now turn our attention to funding the expanded operations necessary for future growth and success.”

To that end, ARCS Foundation Oregon is launching the President’s Society giving program. This new giving program will ensure that our Chapter has the resources needed to sustain its current level of operations and support future growth. In addition to the personal satisfaction of investing in the ARCS mission, President’s Society donors will receive benefits including:

  • Tickets to the VIP reception with Ira Flatow at this October’s Impact, Ignite event (formerly ASE)
  • A table with premier seating at the Impact, Ignite event
  • Complementary admission to all ARCS events & lectures throughout the year

Anne Jarvis, a President’s Cabinet-level donor, said. “I am proud to be a leader in ARCS, knowing I’ve played a part in something greater than myself. And I want to help sustain it as an institution that can do for STEM graduate students today what it has been doing for the past 20 years.”
