Your Health Passport:  From emerging innovations in cancer prevention to ALS treatments, lab tours and dialogue with some of Oregon State University’s leading Health Sciences researchers.

OSU’s Division of Health Sciences is thrilled to welcome ARCS members to our Corvallis campus this spring, and looks forward to engaging and robust dialogue with some of our leading Health Sciences researchers in the College of Public Health and Human Sciences, the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Linus Pauling Institute.

At OSU, Health Sciences is a team sport. Led by the Colleges’ of Pharmacy, Public Health and Human Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine, the Division of Health Sciences is joined by the Linus Pauling Institute and colleagues spanning campus in Engineering, Agricultural Sciences, Earth Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences, Science, Liberal Arts, and the Environmental Health Sciences Center. Extension Services faculty, long a powerful resource in agriculture and nutrition, also play a key role in OSU’s impact on healthy people and communities. Together with the university’s Land Grant mission of service, the division’s combination of health sciences units and cross-campus partners allows us to look at health holistically and fosters a breadth and diversity of multi-disciplinary collaborations. Oregon State researchers have already made significant contributions to a healthy society. They have developed cancer therapies, advanced the science of antioxidants, identified candidates for new prescription drugs, taken measures to reduce antibiotic resistance and developed health technologies to benefit communities, just to name a few.

The breadth and depth of Health, Well-being and Quality of Life knowledge, expertise and research at OSU is a powerful resource for the world and truly positions the university to solve the pressing health issues of today and tomorrow.

We look forward to seeing you on April 12th and sharing our passion for health innovation and discovery.
